Reality Adventure Works VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCEDURE

You may want to view the Team Member and Team Leader Job Descriptions for your own reference. Anyone can apply to be a Team Member, however, to apply to be a Team Leader, you must have volunteered previously for a Reality Adventure Break and have sufficient experience in dealing with youth. All Team Leaders must be approved by our Project Manager.

To volunteer for a Reality event, just follow the step-by-step process below.

1. Fill out the form below to request a Disclosure Scotland form be sent to you by our office.

2. First-time volunteers only: Print out and complete the Team Member Application Form. Volunteers under the age of 18 may apply using the Under 18 Application Form, but please note, Reality will contact you to discuss your suitability.

2a. Returning volunteers only: Print out and complete the Team Member Re-Accreditation Form.

3. First-time Team Leaders: Please note that if you are interested in becoming a camp leader, Reality will discuss your application with you prior to approval.

3a. Returning Team Leaders Only: Print out and complete the Team Leader Re-Accreditation Form.

4. Print out and complete the Drivers Information Form and Drivers Application Form. NOTE: These forms should be completed ONLY if you wish to drive a vehicle for a Reality event. They are not required to attend an Adventure Break.

5. Complete the Disclosure Scotland form we will send to you in response to your request. NOTE: This form must be completed very carefully and according to the included instructions. Incomplete forms cannot be accepted by Disclosure Scotland. You should receive a copy of notes on how to complete the form, but you can view a copy of those notes here - Completing Disclosure Form

6. ONE photocopy of photographic identification. This could be any of the following:

PASSPORT
DRIVING LICENSE (with photo)
STUDENT CARD
YOUNG SCOT CARD

TWO photocopies of proof of your name with current address. Examples include:

BANK STATEMENT
UTILITY BILLS (gas, electricity, council tax etc.)
OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE (employer, school, doctor, dentist etc.)
PREVIOUS DISCLOSURE
DRIVING LICENSE (with or without photo)

TWO passport-sized photographs (please print your name on the back)

OPTIONAL - Photocopy of your birth certificate

Keep in mind, the more proof of identification you send us, the less chance for Disclosure Scotland to come back to us for further documentation.

7. Return all of the above completed forms, photos and photocopies that apply to your application to the Reality office at:

8. We will contact you and the referees you provide on your application. Please be aware that the final step in your volunteer application may include a brief interview with a Reality representative. You will also be required to attend a Reality training day before going on camp.
