A further 15% comes from fees charged to social work departments and other referrers, for each young person referred to us for a Reality adventure break.
In 2006, we received government grants which made up a further 11% of our income.
Finally, we also receive valuable support from individual donors, either through one-off or occasional gifts or through regular donations - individuals who give regularly through banker's order make up our Reality 100 Club. In 2006, individual donations and regular giving through the Reality 100 Club accounted for 7% of our income.
If you would like to know more about supporting Reality individually, please see our How to Donate page.
MacRitchie Family
We want to acknowledge the gracious generosity of those folk who have kindly donated to Reality as expressions of their relationship to the family of Craig MacRitchie, who sadly died in a road accident just before Christmas.
Although we did not know Craig at Reality, we are so grateful that Craig’s sister, Ruth, volunteered for her first Reality camp, last summer.
We thank you for your generous gifts, which so far total £2873, and which will provide camp places, equipment and training opportunities for selected young people this year. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the MacRitchie family.
